Council on Aging of Greater Nashville
Nashville, TN 37205 ![]() 615-353-4235 councilonaging-midtn.org info@councilonaging-midtn.org The Council on Aging of Greater Nashville was founded in 1985 as a recommendation from a Mayoral task force on senior issues. The task force saw the need for a nonpartisan group to continually study gaps in services for seniors. Until 2001, COA operated as a program of the Council of Community Services. It is now an independent 501c3 non-profit agency. Our most visible piece of work is our publication titled The Directory of Services for Seniors. The Directory is 270 page impartial source of information for seniors and caregivers. Copies are available FREE of charge for seniors and their family members and may be picked up at all library branch locations in the following counties: Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, Robertson, Rutherford, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson, and Wilson.
